My mission : To earn enough money to buy an Apple MacBook Pro.
I call my project "Recycling for MacBook" because I am recycling aluminum cans. With the money I earn, I want to buy an Apple MacBook for my educational needs and life skills. I am now a 6th grade student. My amazing 5th grade teacher introduced me to the world of Mac.
I am asking family, friends, friends of friends, neighbors and just about anyone who will listen, to save aluminum cans for me. I crush them with a can crusher that my Dad and I made and then store them in large bags.
After I collect a lot of cans, I research different aluminum recycling centers in our area to see which one is paying the most money per pound. We found one that pays .85 per pound. After some careful calculating, I have a pretty good idea of how many crushed cans make a pound.
